TROPICAL FISHING ADVENTURES IN BELIZE
|
Belize is Central Americas forgotten country. Once known as British Honduras, it is located just south of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. It's chief claim to fame is that it has the longest barrier reef in the western hemisphere, and second in the world only to Australia's Great Barrier Reef. This, along with the fact that over ninety-five percent of its islands are uninhabitable makes it a light tackle anglers idea of heaven. From the super clear waters along the reef to its myriad clusters of mangrove islands, it has something for everybody. You can expect to catch two dozen different species of fish in a weeks time, from bonefish, permit and tarpon to wahoo, sailfish, grouper and snapper. The following are just a couple of the choices available.

| The El Pescador Family invites you to join them for a relaxing stay at our seaside Fishing Lodge. The colonial style lodge, situated on a private | ![]() |
|
coconut studded
beach, is slightly isolated and away from the hustle and bustle of crowds
yet close enough to San Pedro to enjoy a day shopping or an evening in
town. El Pescador is nestled on the Bahia del Punta Arena with an
immaculate beach of graceful palms and flowering tropical plants. Your
hosts live on the premises to ensure warm, personal service around the
clock.
El Pescador has
been recognized by top anglers for over 25 years. Catering to all types of
fishermen, the lodge specializes in light tackle, salt water, fly fishing
for Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit and Jack Crevalle. Our shallow water contains
the only classic tarpon flats outside of south Florida. Our Flats are also
world renowned for the opportunity to site cast to tarpon 12 months per
year. Come to El Pescador and achieve an angler's ultimate dream- a Grand
Slam! |

Turneffe Flats has long been recognized as one of the world's premier saltwater flats fishing and SCUBA diving destinations. Imagine awakening in your beach-front cabin to morning coffee or tea served on your verandah, with 50 feet of white sand beach between you and a productive bonefish flat, the sound of a sea breeze through the coconut palms, and a view of the surf crashing on the unspoiled coral reef for miles in either direction. Your most difficult decision may be - should I go flat fishing, diving, or snorkeling.
For decades the Turneffe Islands have
been known as a premier flats fishing destination. Expansive ocean side
flats offer miles of pristine wading areas, while the inner flats are best
fished from our custom built Dolphin Superskiffs.
|
The Turneffe Atoll is the
largest of four coral atolls in the western hemisphere and is noted for
it's variety of saltwater fishing. The availability of bonefish, permit
and tarpon make Turneffe Flats one of the rare spots in the world offering
a legitimate shot at a GRAND SLAM. In addition, Turneffe offers an
opportunity for several additional saltwater species. We encourage you to
be prepared for a wide variety of fishing
opportunities. |
