 ZANCUDO LODGE

The Zancudo Lodge has established itself as the leading exclusive Costa Rican fishing lodge with over 60 I.G.F.A. world records. For the past 20 years, the Zancudo Lodge has advocated catch and release of all billfish which is now a common practice among Costa Rican fisherman. The lodge is located on the scenic pacific coast of Costa Rica, on the bay of Golfo Dulce 4 miles from Golfito.

The Lodge is surrounded by the beauty of Costa Rican wildlife and foliage. Guests can enjoy the picturesque scenery from the beachfront pool and hot tub. Golfito, Puerto Jiminez and Cabo Matapalo are in the southern part of Costa Rica, near the Panamanian border. The facilities are far less developed then in the rest of the country, which makes it a great place to go. It has the only all inclusive fishing lodges on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, as well as small hotels and a small fleet of charterboats, that is growing yearly. Most of the boats are based in Golfito, but will pick up clients in Puerto Jiminez or Cabo Matapalo.

In most cases, because there are only two flights per day, you will have to spend the first night in San Jose, but the first flight in the morning will get you there early enough to get in a full days fishing.
